I foul-hooked a monster of a mullet in Kabeljouws lagoon in Jeffreys Bay.

This thing was as slippery as a bar of soap washed in Sunlight. This turned taking a photo into a challenge.
I also caught a fish smaller than my lure!
The Afrikaans name for this fish is simple strepie. I think it’s known as a karanteen in English.
It was also foul-hooked.
I didn’t get my leerie this time, but catching anything on an artificial lure is still a thrill.
