I’ve created a slightly off-beat bucktail jig head.
I call it the Punk Prawn.
I’m thinking this bucktail jig head might just emulate a prawn in some wacky way.
The colour of the first one I tied leans more towards a blood-worm. Or perhaps kob might see it as a mud prawn.
I’ve not tested this bucktail yet, but I’m keen to hit the water with it.
I’m awaiting the arrival of orange and light pink bucktails and powder paints, which I’ll use to make a lure with colours that lean more towards a pink prawn.
This thing is a nightmare to tie, just by the way.
The hair facing the other way makes it near impossible for a single person to tie. I needed the help of a friend, who tried to keep the tying vise stable while I was bending my arms all sorts of ways to bind it.
I think the next generation Punk Prawn might have to contain shorter hair, just to make the bind more manageable.
Hope you like it.
As always, tight lines.
